There is much more to this than simply feeding water into the chamber, because the sterilization items should be as dry as possible at the end of the process. Thanks to many years of experience and countless tests, the optimum position of the cooling lines and the outlet openings was found. The amount of cooling medium also had to be precisely adjusted to ensure a highly efficient cooling process without the sterilization items being too wet after the process. For example, in an optimally designed sterilizer with such cooling, 400 filled Schott bottles can be cooled to 25°C within 23 minutes.
