Basel is the biggest and most important exhibition location in Switzerland and one of the key locations in Europe. The exhibition and congress site comprises five exhibition halls, the Congress Center Basel the Musical Theatre Basel. Messe Basel comprises in five halls an overall exhibition area of 141,000 m2, 83,000 m2 of which suitable for multi-storey stands.

Basel is at the heart of Europe, borders directly with France and Germany and is Switzerland’s second-strongest commercial region. As an urban hub at the three-countries triangle, the exhibition city is also internationally attractive for business and provides a unique range of cultural attractions.
Culture and accommodation
Basel has a very wide range of cultural offerings. Around thirty museums are open to visitors, including the Fondation Beyeler and the Tinguely Museum. Basel is an international rail hub: direct ICE, IC and EC daytime and nighttime connections from Germany, Austria, Italy France and the Benelux countries. All three of Basel’s railway stations – SBB (Switzerland), SNCF (France) and DB (Badischer Bahnhof, Germany) – are within 5 to 10 minutes of the Basel Exhibition Centre.
If you take tram no. 1 or 2, you can reach Basel Exhibition (Tram stop "Messeplatz") from the Swiss or French (SBB/SNCF) railway station in 10 minutes or from the German (DB) station (Badischer Bahnhof) in 5 minutes by tram no. 2 or 6.

Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport is 15 minutes’ drive from Congress Center Basel. Further, there is an easy connection from EuroAirport to the exhibition center in downtown Basel by public transport (Bus Nr. 50), via the central Swiss railway station (Bahnhof SBB). From Bahnhof SBB the tram line no. 2 serves Basel Exhibition square ("Messeplatz") directly.
Zurich Airport is served by about 70 airlines, with flights to 82 European and 39 intercontinental destinations. There are frequent trains between Basel SBB station and Zurich taking less than an hour, and direct services to and from Zurich Airport.
Basel is the point where the Swiss, French and German motorway networks meet. Basel Exhibition and the trade-fair grounds have their own motorway exit. The "Messe" exit from the A2 motorway leads directly to the fair and congress ground. There is a multi-storey car park with space for 1,200 vehicles at Exhibition Square.
