On the 4th and 5th of October, the focus at the first ILMAC LAUSANNE is on new approaches, innovations and solutions in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. A total of 140 exhibitors are presenting their product innovations in the most important life science region of French-speaking Switzerland.

The new ILMAC LAUSANNE exhibition format has been booked out for many weeks. The industry fair combines high-grade product presentations with the transfer of knowledge and networking, while also promoting individual discussions amongst participants over a period of two days.

“The gratifying level of registrations and the positive feedback from exhibitors and partners make us very optimistic that this format will become established”, explains exhibition director Michael Bonenberger. At this event, which is being held in Lausanne for the first time to supplement ILMAC in Basel, no fewer than 140 suppliers are presenting their products and services from the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological sectors at the premiere already. The exhibition area, the practically oriented Forum topics and the open Networking Zone ensure a worthwhile visitor experience at Expo Beaulieu Lausanne. The first ILMAC LAUSANNE is being opened officially by Mr. Philippe Leuba, member of the Cantonal Council of the Canton of Vaud.

A new concept for Western Switzerland

With the ILMAC LAUSANNE fair, ILMAC is closing the gap in the French-speaking Swiss market. It thus constitutes an optimum extension of ILMAC, which is being staged in Basel from the 24th to the 27th of September 2019 next time round.

The centrepiece of the event

The open Networking Zone forms the centrepiece of the event, enabling visitors to exchange thoughts and ideas. Encounters and dialogue feature at the forefront here. Admission tickets (CHF 40.-) include the Networking Lunch from 12:00 to 14:00.

Official opening event

Mr. Philippe Leuba, member of the Cantonal Council of the Canton Vaud and Head of the Department of Economics, Innovation and Sport, and Mr. Jean-Philippe Rochat, Chairman of the Board of MCH Beaulieu Lausanne SA, are opening ILMAC LAUSANNE on Wednesday, the 4th of October at 13:30 in the Forum, followed by a short tour of the trade fair.

Strong partners facing up to current challenges

On the 4th of October, the Swiss Chemical Society will be showing how “Operational Excellence” can be implemented by giving examples of best practices. Five experts from the chemical and pharmaceutical industry are speaking about their experiences in process development. On the 5th of October, the focal topic is Industry 4.0 in the life science field. Solutions for technological and industrial challenges (such as personalised medicine) will be covered in the morning session. In the afternoon, business and market-specific challenges (including regulatory aspects) will feature in the foreground, together with appropriate solutions. The lectures are being held in the rooms sponsored by Containex to round off the event format.
