ILMAC 2016: Switzerland's specialist fair for process and laboratory technology
Published on 6/20/2016 by Christine Kern
Every three years, more than 12,000 specialists from the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, cosmetics, food and drinks sectors all meet up at Messe Basel. They foster their business relations and find out about new approaches and solutions in the field of industrial applications for process and laboratory technology. The subject of "Industrie 4.0", which constitutes a topical issue for all these sectors, is being intensively discussed in the ILMAC Forum.
ILMAC industry fair in close proximity to the market
ILMAC presents all the industrial applications for process and laboratory technology in a concentrated and clearly arranged form. These two sectors are moving ever closer together on the market, since the processes are increasingly being planned and implemented on a holistic basis in the companies rather than separately. This is why the exhibitors are now positioned in a mixed layout.
ILMAC Forum with Lunch&Learn Sessions on the topic of 4.0
The Swiss Chemical Society SCG is organising the ILMAC Forum in cooperation with partner associations. The central feature is the popular Lunch&Learn sessions at lunchtime. The latest developments relating to "Industrie 4.02 are to be presented here.
• Wednesday, 21 September 2016 "Automatization and huge data handling in Analytical Sciences".
• Thursday, 22 September 2016 "Automatization in the laboratory environment"
• Friday, 23 September 2016 "Industry 4.0 in Chemical Engineering"
In addition, exhibitors will be holding events and making presentations in the Forum, and a number of awards are to be presented. The current Forum programme may be found at ilmac.ch/veranstaltungen. The papers and discussions will be in English and are included in the admission to ILMAC.
SCS FH-Award 2016
In the chemical field, ILMAC is very much centred on industry-oriented innovations and applications. SCS focus particularly on these aspects in both their teaching and their research and development. Entries have been invited for the SCS FH-Award for the second time, and the award is to be presented at ILMAC 2016. All the projects will be displayed on the joint FH and SCS stand, with the winning projects additionally being presented at the ILMAC Forum.
Cleanroom Control at ILMAC 16
ILMAC 2016 is giving space to this important topic and putting the spotlight on controlled environmental cleanliness for research, development and production. Cleanroom Control is the name given to the attractive communal zone developed in cooperation with the Reinraum Akademie, the SwissCCS and Contamination Control Report for ILMAC 2016.
LabTec4.0 is aimed at moving laboratory appliances out of theory and into practice to a greater extent. In line with the "Innovation Days" staged by big companies, the exhibitors in LabTec 4.0 will be making presentations on an innovative topic in a laboratory environment set up especially for the purpose. They will be presenting their product in practical use and demonstrating its benefits to you.
ILMAC Networking Event & Party
On Wednesday, 21 September, ILMAC is open for longer and offers visitors the opportunity to discover and experience the trade fair in a relaxed atmosphere. For a period of two hours, from 17:00 to 19:00, professional trade fair business will give way to sociable networking.
