Getting there

Railway

Basel is an international rail hub: direct ICE, IC and EC daytime and nighttime connections from Germany, Austria, Italy France and the Benelux countries. All three of Basel’s railway stations – SBB (Switzerland), SNCF (France) and DB (Badischer Bahnhof, Germany) – are within 5 to 10 minutes of the Basel Exhibition Centre.

For guests travelling from Germany: MCH Messe Basel and "Deutsche Bahn", the leading German railway company, have long-term, fixed-price contracts, allowing congress participants to travel to and from all parts of Germany at a flat rate (for as little as EUR 54,90 for one-way).

Tram

If you take tram no. 1 or 2, you can reach Basel Exhibition (Tram stop "Messeplatz") from the Swiss or French (SBB/SNCF) railway station in 10 minutes or from the German (DB) station (Badischer Bahnhof) in 5 minutes by tram no. 2 or 6.

Airplane

Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport is 15 minutes’ drive from Congress Center Basel. Further, there is an easy connection from EuroAirport to the exhibition center in downtown Basel by public transport (Bus Nr. 50), via the central Swiss railway station (Bahnhof SBB). From Bahnhof SBB the tram line no. 2 serves Basel Exhibition square ("Messeplatz") directly.  

Zurich Airport is served by about 70 airlines, with flights to 82 European and 39 intercontinental destinations. There are frequent trains between Basel SBB station and Zurich taking less than an hour, and direct services to and from Zurich Airport.

Car

Basel is the point where the Swiss, French and German motorway networks meet. Basel Exhibition and the trade-fair grounds have their own motorway exit. The "Messe" exit from the A2 motorway leads directly to the fair and congress ground. There is a multi-storey car park with space for 1,200 vehicles at Exhibition Square.
