Traveling by train Basel has excellent domestic and international train services. The SBB, DB and SNCF stations are all in the vicinity of the exhibition site. RailAway, in collaboration with Swiss Exhibition, is offering tickets at a special rate (10% discount on the train journey and a reduction on the exhibition entry). The tickets can be used from every station in Switzerland to the Exhibition Center Basel and back. The entry voucher must be exchanged for an entry ticket at the registration desk. Use the Park & Ride Service. A parking space costs CHF 20.00, including the bus ride. P&R Plan (PDF) An annual permit is needed on Swiss motorways. It costs CHF 40.– and is available at all border crossings and post offices. Public transport in Basel From the SBB/SNCF station with tram no. 2 in the direction of Riehen Grenze. From the Badische station with tram no. 2 in the direction of Binningen Kronenplatz or with tram no. 6 in the direction of Allschwil directly to the exhibition site. www.bvb-basel.ch.
Connections from the airport The exhibition venue is a 15-minute drive from the EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, (bus connection via SBB/SNCF train station or taxi). The price for a taxi ride is approximately CHF 40.- from the EuroAirport and around CHF 20.- from the SBB/SNCF train station. You can obtain the current flight schedule from the new airline SWISS. |
